Every order is important to us because we know how important it is to you. Hence, we earnestly endeavor to please every customer with beautiful flowers and accommodating service. Knowing that flowers are a perishable natural product and that floral arrangements and floral gifts are hand made, we make every effort to fortify our floral products and ensure the quality, accuracy and beauty of our work. Many variables determine whether a flower will last as long as anticipated or whether a designer has created something which you will enjoy. Because we constantly seek ways to bring some of these variables under our control for improved floral performance, we welcome your comments and inquiries. Also, if you are not completely satisfied with the quality of one of our products, then please contact us immediately and we will promptly take the appropriate action.
Our Shoppe is proud to serve all locations in Milford, CT. We also offer delivery to the following areas: Stratford, Orange, West Haven, Trumbull, New Haven, Bridgeport, Derby, Shelton and Woodbridge. We now offer free delivery to any location within a 4-mile radius, and tiered delivery fees for all other surrounding areas.
Same Day Delivery: We are pleased to offer same-day delivery for all orders placed before noon Monday through Friday. Orders placed after noon will be delivered the next day (or on the date of your request). We can arrange for your special event or funeral order to be delivered on Saturday or Sunday, so please call directly to inquire about availability. All fruit and/or gourmet baskets are custom made and are available for next day delivery only.
Special Requests: We will always do our best to accommodate special requests for deliveries but we cannot guarantee them. We may be able to accommodate your special request for a timed delivery with advance notice, so please call us directly to inquire. We will do our best to accommodate special requests to leave a delivery if no one is home, but we assume no responsibility after the delivery has been made per the instructions of this request.
Specific Times: We are unable to guarantee delivery at a specific time, but we are normally able to deliver within four hours on orders. You may request a time frame in the special instruction box when ordering, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Delivery Times: Normal delivery times are 9am-5pm daily for orders going to a business, 6pm for orders to a residence, hotel, or hospital, and 2pm for orders going to a high school. During major holidays such as Valentine's Day and Mother's Day we operate extended hours and delivery times are 8am-8pm.
Funeral Homes: These orders are our very highest priority. If you have ordered too late to make the funeral service we will call to let you know quickly so that you can make other arrangements or have something sent to the home of the family. If you do not know the zip code or exact address of the funeral home we will look it up for you. We normally contact the funeral home anyway to verify the time of the viewing and make arrangements for the flower delivery. If you have selected a delivery date that is before the actual viewing we will deliver to the viewing per the funeral home instructions. If you have ordered for a funeral viewing on Sunday and it is too late to deliver on Saturday or Sunday, we will contact the funeral home to verify that there is a viewing or service on Monday and reschedule the order.
Banner Funeral Arrangements: Due to the time-sensitivity of delivering funeral orders, if a banner is not available, we will fill your order to value, substituting the banner with more flowers for an even fuller arrangement.
High Schools: High schools do not accept deliveries for students. Please send teacher's gifts to the high school and any student orders to their residence. Orders to high schools should be placed early because they usually must be received by 2pm.
P.O. Boxes: We are unable to deliver flowers to a P.O. Box or an A.P.O. addresses.
If No One is Home: Weather permitting, we will use our discretion to determine a safe location at the address to leave the delivery if no one is home. We will contact the recipient using the phone number provided after the delivery has been made to notify them of the location of their delivery. If we cannot locate a safe place to leave the delivery at the address, we may attempt to leave the delivery with a neighbor who agrees to assume responsibility for it. We will notify the recipient of the address of their delivery, after which they can arrange with their neighbor to retrieve it. Using our discretion, if we determine that we cannot locate a safe place to leave the delivery at the recipient's address or with a neighbor, we will return to the Shoppe and the recipient will be responsible for picking up their delivery. We will always make every effort to successfully complete all deliveries, therefore we cannot refund any delivery fees after a delivery attempt has been made
Incorrect Addresses: The customer assumes full responsibility for providing accurate delivery information when placing an order with us. If a customer provides an incorrect address and a delivery attempt is made, the delivery will be returned to the Shoppe and the customer will be notified immediately. Once a delivery attempt has been made, the customer will be responsible for an additional $10 delivery correction fee before we are able to re-attempt the delivery. The same conditions will apply if we are unable to complete delivery because the recipient no longer resides or works at the provided delivery address.
Refund Policy: If you are at all unsatisfied with the quality of your flowers or plant, please notify us within 2 days of purchase or delivery. We will gladly replace it with a new plant, wrapped bouquet or store credit (equal to original value of unsatisfactory product). Due to the custom nature of each order, we cannot issue refunds at any time. All non-floral merchandise and gift item sales are final.
Recipient May be Contacted: We will use our discretion during extreme weather or for long-distance deliveries, and may call a recipient to ensure someone will be home before we attempt to make the delivery. We make every effort to maintain the surprise of their floral delivery, and only disclose that they are receiving a delivery. If we are unable to make contact with the recipient, we may postpone the delivery until we are able to speak to the recipient directly.
Request to Leave Item at Door: The customer assumes all liability for requests to leave arrangements. We highly discourage special instructions requesting delivery to a doorstep, porch, yard or any location where the recipient cannot accept the arrangement themselves. Autumn Rose Flower & Gift Shoppe cannot be held responsible for missing or faulty product due to this special request.
Recipient Refusal of Delivery: : If a recipient refuses to accept a delivery for any reason, we will return to our Shoppe and notify the customer. The customer will be responsible for the full order even if it is refused, and will then have the choice to pick up the arrangement or have it donated to someone at our discretion.
Card Messages: The message that you write in the Card Message field is the message that is sent with the gift. We do not include any billing information with your order. In order to provide the best service to our customers, we are unable to accommodate anonymous deliveries. If a customer omits their name from the enclosure card and the recipient inquires as to who placed the order, we will always provide the customer's first and last name. All other customer information (address, phone number, payment information, etc.) will be strictly confidential.
International Orders: We apologize for any inconvenience, but we are unable to accept international orders at this time.
Deliveries to Cemeteries: We are happy to accept orders to cemeteries, but due to the necessity of leaving our product outdoors and unattended, we cannot accept responsibility for the delivery after it has been made.

- Many products are available in Regular, Deluxe, and Premium sizes that you can upgrade to.
Fresh Flowers: Due to the nature of our industry, we work daily with a fresh, perishable product that is constantly subject to change due to many environmental conditions. While many flowers are available to purchase from around the world any day of the year, out-of-season requests always incur additional costs and imported flowers can be negatively impacted by additional handling during transportation from farm to florist. We strive to select a wide variety of in-season flowers from week to week, but we cannot stock every item in every color pictured on our website at all times (nor do we think it responsible to). Therefore, all designs pictured are meant to be used as an approximate representation of the size, style and color palette of the arrangement we will custom design just for you using the selection we have available to us. Using our discretion, if we cannot reasonably make a substitution of equal or greater value to the item you've selected, we will contact you to discuss possible alternatives.
Balloons: Some hospitals do not allow latex balloons with an arrangement. Mylar balloons may need to be substituted for latex balloons on some orders.
Plants: For green and blooming plants, similar plants may be substituted of equal or greater value. For one-of-a-kind plants, such as orchids, we will make every attempt to match the plant type, but may substitute with another color. Containers for plants will be as close as possible.
Gift Baskets: Substitutions within a basket may be made with items of greater or equal value if necessary to guarantee freshness and timely delivery.
Substitutions for Special Occasions: Due to the importance of delivering orders for special occasions, such as funerals, birthdays, and anniversaries, on specific days, we may make a substitution of equal or greater value to ensure timely delivery, if the flowers you requested are not available, and we are not able to contact you via the phone number(s) or email address you provided us.
